HBCU GO closes the basketball season with a legendary SWAC rivalry as the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats and Florida A&M Rattlers meet once again—this time in Tallahassee for the final game on the HBCU basketball calendar. When these two programs last faced off on January 3, 2026, in Daytona Beach, both Bethune-Cookman squads came out victorious, but now the Rattlers will look to defend their home floor and rewrite the ending in front of their crowd. More than just bragging rights, this clash holds significant postseason implications and tips off Women’s History Month with a heated battle.
The women tip off at 5 p.m. in what has become one of the conference’s most competitive matchups. In the first meeting, Bethune-Cookman’s balanced offensive attack and dominance on the boards proved to be the difference, as multiple players scored in double figures and the Wildcats controlled second-chance points. Florida A&M will aim to tighten its perimeter defense and push the pace offensively, relying on improved guard play and transition scoring to shift momentum. With postseason positioning at stake, expect intensity and physical play from start to finish.
At 7 p.m., fans can catch the HBCU GO Crossover Show with co-hosts Jasmine McKoy and Tolly Carr, alongside insider Olivia Antilla, as they break down the women’s contest and preview the highly anticipated nightcap, heading over to the studio in Atlanta for in-depth analysis and live reactions.
The men’s game tips at 7:30 p.m., and the spotlight will shine on Bethune-Cookman star Jacobi Heady, who is in the running for HBCU GO Player of the Year. Heady’s scoring average and clutch performances powered the Wildcats in January’s win, and he remains one of the most dynamic guards in the conference. Florida A&M will counter with defensive pressure and an up-tempo attack, hoping homecourt energy sparks a different outcome. As the regular season closes, rivalry pride is on the line.
